2/3-2/6: Finished making
the Lake Placid trail handicapped accessible with the
AmeriCorps group.
2/9-2/12: Worked on rock
steps/ viewing platforms above spillway. Built one long
retaining wall for the lower viewing platform, and built three
big stone steps up to larger viewing platform. Started
on the upper viewing platform, moving huge rocks into place.
2/16-2/20: Finished up
large retaining wall for upper viewing platform.
Finished moving huge rocks into place (1600-2000 # rocks) and
filled platform in with fill dirt. Cut about 300' of
trail on the connector. On Saturday, we had a very large
volunteer day. We had 42 volunteers show up from Christ
Church and worked on the connector trail. We got a lot
done and had a really nice day.
2/24-2/26: Cut another
section of the connector trail.
